Moon Immersion with Hoyte – 1 day Workshop

Practical yoga to manage the mind

In Yoga and Buddhist philosophy “Moon” is a reference to the subconscious mind. Which is the primary influencer to govern mental stability and emotional expression. Today’s mind faces a lot of challenges due to the pace of life & technology which lead to stress, anxiety & mental overload.

A lot of modern, fast paced yoga practices trigger this process even more and do not factor in the necessity of cultivating mental stability.

In this workshop we look at the traditional hatha yoga practices for wisdom and stability:

Yoga Sutra 1.2, “Yogas Chitta Vritti Nirodha” means ‘yoga stills the fluctuations of the mind’. The next few sutras of the yoga scriptures explain this very clearly:

if we cannot still the mind, we will think we are the mind and we will suffer. However, if we can still the mind we can rest in our true form and live free of suffering and fear.

So how do we steady the Moon/Mind in practice? We will dive into a ‘Full Moon’ day together!
We will study, discuss and practice Asana, Pranayama and Meditations to manage the mind;
A complete ‘Moon’ toolbox especially geared to making the mind more steady, clear  and luminous.

The Day’s Schedule Will (roughly) Look Like This:

10.00 Breathwork for inner and outer balance
10.30 Introduction
11.00 Followed by a complete morning Asana practice for ‘stable radiance’

14.30 Harmonising pranayama practice
15.00 Discussion
