Heart Fire: Soul-Activation Retreat Day
Igniting the Heart Fire
Join Simon for a deep and soulful journey into embodied spiritual awakening.
This one-day retreat invites you to move beyond the outer forms of yoga into its inner heart. Through movement, breath, sacred sound, and ritual, we take a deep dive into yoga as a practice that can awaken the spiritual heart, ignite the heart fire and reconnect us with the potency of our souls. Experience yoga as a living path of awakening, devotion, and remembrance.
Embodied Awakening
Spiritual awakening is often presented as a quiet, mindful seated practice — something that happens on a cushion, in stillness, separate from the vitality of the body. Yet in the yogic vision, the path to Self-realisation has always been embodied, dynamic, and alive. The body, the breath, the voice and heart are engaged as sacred gateways to the divine.
This retreat invites you into that fuller spectrum of awakening: a physical, passionate, and even ecstatic approach rooted in authentic yogic tools. Through movement, breath, mantra, and heart-connection you are guided into an embodied journey of remembering, reconnecting, and awakening the potency and purpose of your soul — a return to your deepest nature, alive and present within the heart. The day unfolds as a continuous ritual flow, weaving together asana, pranayama, sahaja moving meditation, satsang, and mantra.
The Transformative Power of Sound
Sacred sound is integrated throughout this ritual journey to draw the scattered parts of the self back into union and coherence. Across yogic, tantric, and mystical traditions, sacred sound and vibrational resonance is seen as one of the most direct ways to awaken the heart and stir the soul’s memory. Through mantra, vocal toning, and sonic immersion, the heart’s subtle power begins to stir. Sound becomes a living presence — not something to perform, but something to feel reminding the soul of its origin and innate wisdom.
Morning Session — Preparing the Field
The morning session is devoted to preparation, activation and opening. The journey begins with Samkalpa, anchoring the day in our sacred intention to enter the heart field. We meet the body and mind with somatic curiosity, moving in rhythm with breath and awareness. As we move through a series of dynamic and cleansing yogic practices we release layers of stress, and protection that restrict the natural flow of energy. We move through movement meditation sequences, softening the outer armour to invite more freedom, heart connection and to move deeper into ecstatic union.
We close the morning session by moving into deeper yogic breath practices as gateways into the subtle body and heart field, moving prana life force into the sacred space of our spiritual hearts. The session closes with mantra, vocal invocation and guided meditation to balance body, nervous system and energy as we invite our subtle awareness to dwell in the pure energy of the heart field.
Afternoon Session — Soul Activation Ritual
After the lunch break, we return for integration through gentle lunar yoga, satsang and sacred sound in preparation for the closing ritual. The retreat day culminates in a closing yajna — a sacred fire ritual held in a circle around the heart fire.
This is a living and dynamic ritual for body, mind and voice where the the body is an expression of devotion in motion. The mind becomes an instrument of focussed intention, we use our voices as tools for expression of invocation, connection and resonance. When mantra and sacred sound is combined with active meditation the unity of body-mind becomes a resonant and vibrating temple The awakened heart becomes receptive for universal love to cascade into into us. The heart then attunes to a much greater field of universal Love that permeates all of existence. The ritual of movement, mantra, and shared resonance is a call to awaken the soul and the pure shakti of the spiritual heart. The ritual concludes with a personal transmission to seal and integrate the soul activation ritual for each participant.
