As winter stretches on and the days stay short, many of us feel it in our mood, energy, and nervous system. Nervous System Winter Rituals is a deeply nourishing 3-hour workshop at The Nieuwe Yoga School designed to give you practical tools for your nervous system regulation by softening winter sadness, reducing stress, and melting away built-up tension.

Inspired by Somatics, Holistic Rituals, and Zenthai Shiatsu, this masterclass offers a ritual-like space to reset body, mind, and heart.

 

What this Workshop is About

During late winter, our bodies naturally slow down, and the lack of sunlight can contribute to lower mood and fatigue for many people. This workshop invites you to gently shift out of that heaviness and reconnect with inner warmth, clarity, and emotional resilience.

We’ll explore a blend of practices for the Nervous System and Somatic Rituals for the body. The program lasts 3 hours and contains:

  • Guided Meditation to calm the mind and bring emotional balance
  • Somatic Dance & intuitive movement to uplift mood and release stagnation
  • Neurogenic Tremoring to safely discharge stored stress from the body
  • Zenthai Shiatsu–inspired partner work for grounding, soothing touch & co-regulation
  • Breathwork, grounding & simple winter rituals you can repeat at home

Everything is invitational: you can move, rest, or modify as needed.
