Vinyasa Flow & Mantras
A joyful flow in which movement, mantra and yoga philosophy come together
In this class, movement, mantra, and philosophy merge into a flow that opens the heart and brings lightness. Inspired by Bhakti—the yoga of devotion—this practice invites you to let go of ambition, stop comparing yourself, and rediscover the joy of simply being yourself.
We begin with mantras: sound and intention that resonate directly with the heart. From there, we flow into an intermediate Vinyasa Flow that balances strength and surrender, guided by breath and rhythm, rather than perfectionism or performance. The body becomes an instrument of expression, and each pose a sacrifice.
When the flow slows, we turn inward with pranayama and meditation. Breath and attention deepen what the movement has opened, so that space naturally arises for stillness, clarity, and inner connection.
Whether you are new to Bhakti or have been involved in this tradition for a while, this class will take you through the entire spectrum: from energetic flow to deep, soulful silence.
Come as you are – to sing, move, breathe and land.
To experience that yoga is not a goal to achieve, but something to feel: a gentle return to your own heart.

I've been taking classes at DNYS almost weekly for over five years. The teachers are fantastic, and the atmosphere in both the classroom and the café is very pleasant and relaxed. I've taken yoga classes in many places, and DNYS is absolutely the best.
Wow I come away from another class completely blown away by the level of teaching here. I've had countless classes that felt absolutely inspired at this school and all by different teachers. How many amazing teachers can one place have?!! The staff at the desk are so welcoming and kind every time I check-in or get an after yoga tea. How lucky we are to have this oasis in busy Amsterdam!
What a wonderful place this is! I didn't have much experience with yoga before taking a class here. At the beginning of the class, they asked if it was anyone's first time, which immediately gave me the feeling that everyone is welcome here, whether you're a beginner or more advanced. I always enjoy going there and leave feeling great.
