Movement Meditation, Energetic Breathwork and Ecstatic Flow Yoga with Simon Rowe and friends
Yoga and movement meditation teacher, Simon Rowe, invites you to take your yoga ‘out of the box’ and enjoy a magical journey inspired by the movement based practices of Sahaja!
Explore these wonderful Tantrik teachings that changed the course of Yoga history with their profound doctrine on ‘the art of living spontaneously and of being vibrantly alive’
Simon will open the session with a sequence of energetic breathwork to awaken the experience of Spanda, the universal pulse of energy and the flow of the life-force, Prana through all the cells of our bodies.
Explore your fluid nature as we dive into the movement based, Sahaja yoga sequence, moving beyond the yoga poses and into the space of ecstatic flow. Then take your yoga off the mat and ease yourself into a moving meditation as you spontaneously explore your natural sense of pleasure through movement.
Move from your breath as your body softens and opens, surrender to give space to expression of your innermost poetry, flow into your freedom as naturally as the river flows into the ocean.
We will close the session with a sublime exploration of the inner dance, inspired by the tradition of Kashmiri Tandava. This will be accompanied by live mantra concert and we will close with a healing sound bath and relaxation.
Your support is much appreciated for this fund raising event. Simon will donate the profits to Callie Evans lodge, crisis centre and old age facility in South Africa.
Sahaja ~ means natural. The tree grows according to Sahaja, natural and spontaneous in complete conformity with the natural law of the universe. Nobody tells it what to do or how to grow. It has no swadharma or rules, duties and obligations incurred by birth. It has only - its own inborn self or essence - to guide it. Sahaja is that nature which, when established in oneself, brings the state of absolute freedom and peace. ~ Mahendranath
